"The International Work Experience Program aims to provide quality practical training and work experience that will enhance the career opportunities of our participants."
 
 Languages
Participants must have a working knowledge and spoken ability in the language of the country in which they are placed. Participants who lack fluency in the language will only be eligible for placement inback of house areas until their language skills are assessed as sufficient for guest contact positions.
 
 Services

The International Work Experience Program provides a "one-stop shop" for Practical Training experience in the Hospitality, Tourism & Leisure Industry in the United States of America, United Kingdom and France, providing each participant in the program with:

  • A quality-training placement with a market leading company in the hospitality, tourism & leisure industry.
  • An agreed training program that identifies key learning objectives.
  • Guidance in the preparation of your personal CV and letter of application.
  • The processing of a work permit and entry visas.
  • An on-site visit during your placement by a qualified "Training Assessment Verifier".
  • A comprehensive assessment report at the completion of the placement period.
  • A Certificate of Competance awarded at the completion of the training period by Highgate Academy for Professional Development.
  • In most cases, pre- arranged residential accommodation.
  • A wage commensurate with industry norms for trainees.
  • Inclusion in the IWEP/ALIP job search database.
